Because I can tell you for certain that nobody bothers looking at mine (Diablo 3 Gold). Sure it's all optimised and all that rubbish. I'm just not getting real people visiting, I get 200+ hits a day from bots but that's not real people. In terms of real people - possibly 7 a day. That's just not worth the bother of running a website - even is it was a free website. It has an e-zine, it has a blog, it has photos, it has a map. Just no bloody visitors.As with all advertising that doesn't pay off, that's getting chopped as soon as the domain name expires. I have 4 domain names, 3 of which are 401 redirects. They're all set for no renewal. I've been playing this website lark for several years and can't get anybody to visit the site.
I get people from personal referrals and occasionally from Yellow Pages though that;s getting chopped too as it really doesn't pay for itself. My vehicle signs attract the most attention which is why I am getting new ones made that don't give a website address.
In Columbia, there are 150 photographers advertising (Diablo 3 Gold). You can bet your boots that there are more that are not for a total population of 150,000. Columbia is a university town and that's it - the university, some rednecks, a couple of jails and nothing much else.
